UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is putting in some work! Being just about one week away from her title defense against Sara McMann at the MGM Grand, Rousey is in her last week of camp. She looks sharp, as video from her media workout earlier in the week showed that she looks ready to go in the striking department. So much so that trainer Edmond Tarverdyan revealed that as of late his star pupil has been dropping sparring partners with body shots.

We will see a body shot stoppage at UFC 170? I hope so; off the top of my head I don’t remember seeing someone being stopped via a liver punch ever in the UFC. My memory sucks though, so yea…you guys will probably prove me wrong on that one. In a month that highlights the Olympics, and as we see an Olympic Judoka going up against a Olympic wrestler, Team Rousey has brought in Olympian Martin Berberyan to help combat that threat.

Berberyan’s main task is to help Rousey with technique and he sure as heck has all the credentials to be doing so. He was a bronze medalist in the 2005 FILA Wrestling World Championships as well as placing in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics. She is certainly pulling out the big guns as fans still have a question lingering in their heads, “can Rousey handle McMann’s wrestling?”

I think the video below may answer that.
