The UFC 177 card has been lambasted in the media for being one of the most paltry pay-per-view offerings in UFC history. Headlined by the bantamweight title rematch between TJ Dillashaw and Renan Barao, the event has little else to offer in terms of name value.
The event, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow, took another huge hit today when former Olympic Gold medalist Henry Cejudo was forced to pull out of his fight with UFC veteran Scott Jorgensen just hours before the weigh in.
From the UFC:
Due to medical reasons, debuting flyweight Henry Cejudo has been forced to withdraw from Saturday’s UFC 177 bout against Scott Jorgensen in Sacramento.
The card will continue as scheduled with nine bouts.
This is the fourth fight Cejudo has pulled out of in his short MMA career, as he has had difficulties making the 125 pound flyweight limit. Hopefully Cejudo is alright, but it is time for him to move up to bantamweight.
