Remember that scene in Rocky 3 when Rocky Balboa was training on the beach with Apollo Creed and that epic moment when they embraced and gave each other a bro hug? Water all splashing, dirt failing everywhere, Balboa and Creed jumping, sweat dripping off their faces. Man! That scene could crack even the coldest of hearts! It just makes you want to go run half a mile on the beach before you realize how out of shape you are and how cold the water really is in December.
Taking that all aside, that moment was something that was on my mind as I watched this video of Ronda Rousey working out in Venice Beach. Though she doesn’t give trainer Edmond Taverdyan a “Bro-hug” or runs thru the water, you do she sweat pouring off her face, knees being thrown and punches being thrown in bunches. Rousey channels her inner Rocky while successfully having me hum the Rocky theme while the video is playing.
Now excuse me, I’m going to run around the house and pretend I’m training for Ivan Drago….”dun nun dunnnn, dun nun nunnnn, dun nun nun nunnnnn.”
