For many years the one super fight MMA fans have wanted to see take place between women involved current UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and “Cyborg” Santos. It is a fight on the scope of Cyborg-Carano one that grabs the casual sports fan with compelling drama. Yes we are near the end of 2013 and the fight is nowhere close to being signed (Some would say it is Tito Ortiz’s fault) though we all hope for it…someday.

That match up though is not the only super fight available for Ronda Rousey. Holly Holm, the former boxing champion who amassed a record of 33-2 and three world title wins in three different weight divisions has transitioned over to MMA. She has made a huge impact as in the short time she has been pro she has amassed of record of 6-0 with 5 knockouts. It is on this merit that many are calling for a Rousey-Holm super fight and while the champion is one hundred percent focused on Meisha Tate and defending her title, she herself hopes for the clash one day, ” I would absolutely love to fight Holly Holm and I hope the UFC picks her up and I get to fight her before I retire.”

So it is with this we all have to partaking in the waiting game with glee. Holm is not yet singed with the UFC . Last week she was offered a UFC contract and she denied it, citing she wanted six figures. The more Holm wins, the more her stock will go up and demand for a fight with Rousey will begin to overshadow one with Santos. All Holm has to do is keep winning, something Ronda Rousey is very adept in doing.

Ronda Rousey defends her UFC women’s bantamweight title against Miesha Tate on Dec. 28th.
