Lyoto Machida has a great streak when it comes to fighting fighters with a wrestling base inside the octagon. On Saturday night, Machida looks to add to that streak and make a little bit of history as if he defeats Chris Weidman for the UFC middleweight title he will be the third to do so in the company’s history. Crazy when you think about it that Machida has actually beaten the two men that have achieved that feat (kudos if you can name the other two).
Since joining the ranks of the UFC, Chris Weidman has been on a tear and his unique blend of wrestling and Ray Longo death striking have given every opponent inside the cage troubles. So is one Lyoto Machida worried about this? Not so much as he tells our cameras why “he aint got no worries,” ala Lil Wayne style.
