Well the Zuffa monster was in town yesterday in Los Angeles as the press tour rolled on for UFC 178- Jones vs. Cormier. Unless you are one of those weird preppers who thinks the Zombie apocalypse is nigh, the two main eventers got in a bit of a scuffle yesterday in Las Vegas to kick off the tour.
Yes, in the tradition of Tyson/Lewis, Hopkins/Trinidad and Berbick/Holmes these two went at it with Daniel Cormier being speared by a Goldberg seeing Jon Jones. As of current, there were no reports of chants of G-O-l-D-B-E-R-G or ECW!ECW!ECW! but it made everyone anticipate their second meeting in Los Angeles yesterday.
So for those expecting to see another bro-down showdown, you’re going to be disappointed. There were no F bombs, no altercations, just two mild mannered light heavyweights taking some jabs at each other in the video below.
But alas, young friends… CONOR FREAKING MCGREGOR saves the day. He was in Los Angeles as well as his UFC 178 dance partner Dustin Poirier.
Like he always does…cue the Irish battle music.
