Johny Hendricks weighs-in on fight day at 195 pounds

Is the Dolce Diet the new TRT? I grew up around wrestlers spitting into cups and smoking cigarettes so they didn’t eat (truth) just so they could make weight. That was obviously the wrong way to make weight, and we’ve seen after years and years of crazy weight cuts on TUF the lengths these fighters will go in order to make the fight ‘fair’ and weigh in the same amount at one given point in time, but aren’t these weigh-ins totally pointless? The idea of weight classes are for a fight to be as fair on the physical side as possible, and when these ridiculous methods and weight cuts are implemented, the actual point of weigh-ins and weight classes are totally lost. Now we have Johny vs Robbie, and both are likely pushing 200 pounds Saturday night.

Yes, Johny Hendricks is a welterweight, but only for a few seconds every fight camp. That’s it.
