Now this is a holiday gift we can accept with open arms, unlike the usual socks and underwear throwaway, this is exactly what we wanted – Dan Henderson reassures the world that he has a few more fights left. Nice. The 42-year-old didn’t fight a single time in 2012, the first time he’s taken a year off in his entire career, but he looks to ring in 2013 with some extremely high-profile fights in Lyoto Machida and whoever else decides to risk an H-bomb to the chin (maybe Jon Jones if Chael doesn’t win and Hendo beats Lyoto)
Brazilian MMA site Tatame talked to Hendo about his future:
“I have to fight a couple more years,” “I have at least two more fights ahead of me next year, so I guess that would make at least two more fights after that.”
“My goal is not the UFC belt, it is to keep winning,” “The belt is a motivation, it is something I want because I think I can win, but it isn’t everything.”
All we want is to see Hendo fight. 2013 is lookin’ good.
