Glover Teixeira believes that he will knock out Jon Jones

Count me as one of the people who thinks Glover has what it takes to beat Jon Jones. Now, that doesn’t mean he will beat Jon Jones, but I could see it happening. Jon Jones’ greatest strength (of many) is his length, but his weakness is his head movement. Maybe he’s changed since the Gusatffson fight, where he was kind of outed as eating far too many shots once he fought someone his size, and I would expect him to change considering the caliber of champion he is and the camp he resides in, but with Glover, all it takes is one good shot.

Whether he lands that shot is the big question.

So if Glover wades into striking distance against against Jones and doesn’t get taken down or elbowed into oblivion, I would say he has as good as chance as any to knock Jones out with a 8.5 inch reach disadvantage.

This is what Glover said to Bas Rutten on AXS TV:

“I have the power to beat him. I have my skills – I have to believe in my skills, that are going to work against his skills.

“People always tell me, ‘are you bringing in this guy or that guy’ to emulate Jon Jones, but I don’t really worry about him. In my mind, man, he really has to worry about what I am going to do.

“He’s the champion, but hey, I really believe in my skills. I believe that April 26 I am going to go over there and knock this guy out.”
