Yesterday in Los Angeles at the Pacquiao vs. Bradley 2 press conference Freddie Roach revealed some interesting details to our man Marcos Villegas and Layzie The Savage regarding the hiatus of former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and a potential fight with Anderson Silva.

Roach revealed that St-Pierre confided in him about his decision to take a break from the sport of MMA. St-Pierre told him he wanted to leave for a two year time period while Roach advised that doing so would be retirement and he should rather just take a year off. If St-Pierre still did not feel the fire to continue to fight, Roach told him, “call it a day.” Add to that, St-Pierre according to Roach was suffering from migraines before his fights, ” When I hear that I want him to get checked out completely. I told Georges to see his doctors to make sure he is 100% healthy before he makes his decision.”

In the interview below Roach finishes off that he felt mad over the trashing St-Pierre took from UFC bossman Dana White after his Hendricks bout and if any boxing promoter would say that about any boxer they would book it out the door.

We have also provided the timeline of the conversation Marcos Villegas had with Roach in which he revealed to him that he was in the car with Georges St-Pierre when Dana White called him to talk about fighting Anderson Silva.
