In just over six weeks, we’ll have EA UFC in our grubby little mitts, and it will be wonderful. We’ve been clamoring for any new information on the game, and finally (in my opinion) the dam has broken. Today, EA UFC released a bombshell of a trailer regarding the EA UFC career mode, showing off plenty of in-game footage (gorgeous) and the fact that you will begin your career in TUF.

Now, I don’t really dig the fact that you’ll presumably be a 0-0 fighter starting off in TUF, so hopefully there is another, lower-level org that you can start off on. The Create-A-Fighter looks fantastic, and the environments you fight in look photo-realistic. I’m truly in awe.

Another interesting facet of the career mode is the system in place where taking too much damage can effect your career longevity. I think this is brilliant. It will make  you want to fight smarter, unless you simply want a crazy career in which you go straight Chuck Liddell. That isn’t to say he had a brief career, but we all saw how it ended. Your career can end this way too.

I love the fact that you can strive to attain a GSP-esque career, or one where you stand and wang until you’re carried out on your shield. June 17th can’t come soon enough.
