Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier is slated to take on the loud-mouthed Irish superstar Conor McGregor on the pay-per-view portion of the UFC 178 card in one of the most highly anticipated fights of the year.
Both men have jawed at each other for quite some time, and they will finally settle the score on September 27th. With McGregor on the brink of superstardom, a tough opponent in Poirier is exactly what he needs to catapult himself to a title shot.
