Daniel Cormier puts Dan Henderson to sleep, calls out Jon Jones

Hendo looked like a middlweight fighting a heavyweight, and the fight very much played out exactly how it looked. Daniel Cormier is an intelligent human being. He knows the H-Bomb does not discriminate between weight classes, so he took Hendo down with a huge slam, then dominated him for 15 minutes.

If you know Cormier can toss around Josh Barnett, you can imagine what he did to the 199 pound Hendo. It looked sad, but Hendo was also extremely active from the bottom, until the third round where Cormier pressed his heavy frame onto Hendo, slid around the back and sunk in a rear naked choke. Hendo did not tap. No. He went to sleep.

After the fight, Cormier called out Jon Jones, conveniently forgetting that Jones had to get through Alexander Gustaffson in (August?), but gave Hendo props for a good fight from a 43-year-old man 2 months removed from a war with Shogun and coming off TRT.

Hendo, of course, was poked and prodded by Joe Rogan about retirement. Rest assured Hendo isn’t done, and a return to middleweight is very possible. Man, they don’t make ’em like they used to.

Props to Cormier on a dominant performance. Props to Hendo for existing.

Now it’s time for some Popeye’s.
