Dana White and Anderson SIlva trainer deny that the Silva/Weidman fight is in jeopardy with Silva suffering a rumored injured rib.

Anderson-Silva-002

Anderson Silva and Dana White believe that the hot and heavy rumors of Anderson Silva’s supposed broken ribs putting the UFC 162 Weidman fight in jeopardy are being greatly exaggerated. Earlier today, a brazilian reporter by the name of Luiz Prota set the social media world ablaze with news that Anderson Silva suffered a broken rib in training and the UFC middleweight GOAT would be out of his fight with Chris Weidman. Almost immediately, Silva’s trainer, Rogeiro Camoes, denied any type of injury even taking place. UFC president Dana White further backed up The Spider and his trainer by saying ‘everything’s fine.’ We, of course, have heard that before.

Is this a case of where there is smoke, there’s fire, or is this just an out of control rumor at this point? We know Silva hasn’t taken kindly to the Weidman fight, thinking Weidman doesn’t deserve it, and Silva even ditched some mandatory press work in Los Angeles last month, furthering his nonchalant attitude about this bout.

But, would Silva really go to this length to back out of the fight? Would he fake an injury, or is this injury real? It seems like MMA and MMA Media is full of strange conspiracies these days, what do you guys think? Anderson has fought, and won, with injured ribs before. Remember UFC 117 and the infamous first fight with Chael Sonnen?
