Dan Hardy “I Want To Be The First Man To KO Chris Lytle”

by: Jomar Jackson

Having lost 3 straight, Dan Hardy seems to have his back pressed up against a wall coming into this weekends UFC on Versus fight with Chris Lytle. As the saying goes, when a animal is pressed against a wall they are at their most dangerous and I think that was proven a little over a month ago when Tito Ortiz upsetted Ryan Bader at UFC 132. We had a quick chance to talk to Hardy about his upcoming matchup with Lytle and let us tell you, like the animal cornered in a cage, he is ready to explode.

FHTV: Dan thanks for taking the time out to talk to Fight Hub TV. What do you want to accomplish with this fight?

DH: My goal is to be the first person to knock Chris out. I’m not sure when it will come or how it will come, but I have a lot of options, a lot of techniques that would get him out of there before the final bell.

FHTV: People are saying given your style that this can turn out to be a brawl of a fight, potentially Fight Of The Night?

DH: That’s what I’m hoping for! Chris is an exciting fighter, and he always brings the fight. I’m sure this fight won’t be any different. I’m always fine with trading punches until someone falls over. I like my odds in that gamble.

FHTV: Do you believe you are a better striker than Chris Lytle?

DH: Yes, and I will prove it.

FHTV: What advice would you give youngsters who want to get into MMA?

DH: It’s much easier now to get into MMA than it was when I started. Look up your local MMA gym. Most cities have at least one now. If not, get into a Muay Thai or BJJ gym and learn the basics.

FHTV: Ending the interview, do you have a prediction for your fight against Chris Lytle this weekend?

DH: All I know is that the fight will be a war while it lasts, and my hand will be raised at the end.

special thanks to Phil Landis.
