UFC 178 is just around the corner as the highly anticipated event is set to get underway this Saturday evening at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The card is absolutely stacked with barnburners, including the Flyweight championship bout between reigning champion Demetrious Johnson and surprise challenger Chris Cariaso.

The card is in fact so stacked that the main event is the least anticipated fight on the card. The co-main event features Donald Cerrone taking on the former Bellator champion Eddie Alvarez in his UFC debut in a fight that has all the makings of being a fight of the year candidate.

Also featured is a featherweight tilt with huge title ramifications as Irish phenom Conor McGregor gets his first crack at a top 5 opponent when he takes on Dustin Poirier.

In anticipation of the event, Dan Hardy and John Gooden recently broke down the top three billed fights. Now this is no ordinary breakdown, but rather this is iinsightfulcritiques from Hardy and Gooden highlighting each fighter’s strengths and weaknesses.
