Chris Weidman calls Anderson Silva a “Disrespectful piece of ****”

I’m still having a very difficult time formulating what happened last night. Absolute props to Chris Weidman — he did it — but Anderson also beat himself by playing the game far, far too much, and it cost him his title, and ever so slightly, his legacy. Now Weidman is the champ, Anderson said he doesn’t want to fight for the belt anymore, and there is a rematch clause still on the table that no one knows if Anderson will accept it.

I will tell you what, though. A rematch would be bigger than the Chael fight, and I hope it happens. Because this video showing Chris Weidman calling Anderson a “disrespectful piece of ****” can’t make Anderson happy.

C’mon, rematch.

So was Anderson disrespectful? Is what Weidman said disrespectful? Pot, meet kettle? This is what Dana White said at the post fight scrum. What do you think?

“Fans came here to see a fight,” said White. “They saw a pretty good fight tonight. Is it disrespectful? I don’t know.

“It’s fighting. How the hell do you disrespect somebody in a fight?

“I’m going to try to punch you in the face and knock you out. I’m going to try to kick your leg off. And if I grab your arm, I’m going to take that off. And I’m going to strangle you if I get your neck. But I don’t want to disrespect you??!?

“I think what Weidman did to him is pretty damn disrespectful too.”
