Cain Velasquez said he wanted to “punish” JDS in their second fight

Well this is interesting. Cain must’ve felt damn confident in his 25 minute demolishing of JDS, because in my opinion at least, the last thing you want to do is hang around a heavyweight power puncher. The fight could end at any time. But, as we saw, Cain dominated JDS and was never in any danger really, and it’s all because Cain wanted to punish JDS for taking his belt away the first time.

That’s pretty bad ass.

“My style of fighting, I’d rather end fights with ground and pound and stuff like that,” Velasquez told Yahoo Sports. “I felt he took something away from me that was mine, and I figured I had to make him pay for that. That’s why I didn’t go for the submission.”

What do you guys think?
