UFC lightweight Bobby Green got the short end of the stick when the UFC announced the signing of former Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez.

The UFC opted to sign Alvarez to fight the streaking Donald Cerrone in the co-main event of UFC 178. Cerrone’s initial opponent, Bobby Green, was pulled from the co-main event slot and he has yet to sign a new fight at UFC 178.

After the UFC announced the fight between Cerrone and Alvarez, Green tweeted that he understood the situation and was not mad about it one bit:

Apparently a lot has changed in four days, because Green went on the MMA Hour today and lambasted nearly every lightweight he could, specifically going after Donald Cerrone and Jorge Masvidal:

After ripping Cerrone, Green went on to explain that he rejected the offer to fight Jorge Masvidal. If you recall, Green was initially signed to fight Masvidal at UFC 178 before they pulled him from that fight to face off against Cerrone:

Apparently Bobby Green is not having a great Monday thus far, and in all accounts, he has the right to be upset that he was pulled from the co-main event.

In the end, Green just defeated a former Strikeforce champion in Josh Thomson and will undoubtedly have a huge fight lined up next. Maybe now that Benson Henderson just lost to Rafael Dos Anjos, those two men could face off in a main event fight down the line.
