Bobby Lashley (10-2) will make his long awaited return to the MMA spotlight this weekend when he takes on Josh Burns in the opening bout of the main card at Bellator 123 on Friday.

Lashley, once a veteran of StrikeForce, teamed up with Scott Coker once again in order to make Bellator debut this weekend. Lashley is also a full time professional wrestler, so juggling both jobs has got to be difficult. In fact, most of Lashley’s fame has come from his professional wrestling career in TNA and the WWE.

In a recent interview, Lashley was asked about whether he finds MMA or professional wrestling to be tougher.

“I think it’s more of MMA because with professional wrestling, I have the opportunity to just kind of relax and be stressed,” Lashley told TheMMAReport recently. “With MMA, there is a little more stress involved with it because I have a lot riding on my shoulders.

“There is a lot riding on my shoulders when I go to fight but it is what it is”, Lashley said frankly. “With professional wrestling, I get the opportunity to train and relax and I have done it so often and long so I don’t have to so much train, train, train hard for the matches so I just have to basically stay in shape.”

Much of Lashley’s MMA career has been akin to a circus stint, but we will find out Friday just how serious Lashley is about making a run towards the Bellator heavyweight title.
