Bellator 124 went down tonight from the Compuware Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. Headlining the card was the light heavyweight title bout between reigning champion Emanuel Newton and former UFC competitor Joey Beltran.
In the end, Emanuel Newton defended his Bellator light heavyweight title by knocking out a very game Joey Beltran in the third round. After being stifled for much of the fight due to Beltran’s pressure, Newton connected on a hellacious spinning back fist that took Beltran out immediately.
