An inaugural UFC champion was crowned this past Friday as former Invicta FC champion Carla Esparza defeated Rose Namajunas to become the TUF 20 winner and UFC strawweight champion.

Even with the outstanding achievement, the UFC debutant did not earn the highest base salary on the Las Vegas fight card; although she did go home with an additional $50k thanks in part to her “Performance of the Night” bonus.
