The former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is returning to the Octagon in 2015, or so we believe.
During tonight’s UFC Fight Night 58 main card broadcast, Jon Anik announced Rampage would be back in 2015, followed by a montage of his fights inside the Octagon.
Rampage left UFC in January 2013, opting for a new life in Bellator MMA after three straight losses inside the Octagon. After reports that Rampage was unhappy in Bellator, and unwilling to fight light heavyweight champion Emanuel Newton following three straight victories, the rumors began swirling that the former champion would return to UFC.
That may not be the end of this story however, as there are reports that Rampage is still in contract with Bellator MMA as of tonight.
I am told that Rampage and the UFC 100% are violating his contract with Bellator. So this is going to be very interesting.
