No matter your stance on UFC signing former WWE pro-wrestler CM Punk, it appears that high-profile MMA fighters in the organization are keen on helping Punk make the transition into MMA.
Even without any notable fighting background whatsoever, CM Punk will make his Octagon debut in 2015, likely against an opponent with very little experience as well.
In order to hone his skills in a short period of time, CM Punk will likely join a major MMA gym in order to quickly learn as much as possible.
Newly minted UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler took to Twitter yesterday to offer Punk an invitation to train with him at American Top Team in order to prove his doubters wrong.
Hey .@cmpunk everyone doubted me too. I moved down to @americantopteam and proved them wrong. Come here and do the same

Lawler was not the only high-profile athlete attempting to lure in CM Punk. No. 1 light heavyweight contender Daniel Cormier also reached out to the former WWE wrestler on Twitter:
. @CMPunk we’ve done it before with @herschelwalker (2-0), @akahq is your home. No recruiting pitch needed. I will see u soon. DC

Regardless of your stance on the situation, Punk will bring viewers in, which could potentially mean more fans down the line, and that is all UFC could ask for.
