Nate Diaz will make his long awaited return to the Octagon on December 13th as he takes on No. 3 ranked UFC Lightweight Rafael Dos Anjos in the co-main event of UFC on FOX 13.

Diaz’s self-imposed hiatus from MMA will finally come to an end after a year-long battle with the UFC regarding his contract. Diaz’s manager, Mike Kogan, was also in the forefront of the feud with Dana White and the UFC, as he took offense to the president speaking negatively of his client after they shared qualms with Diaz’s contract.

Early on in 2014, White stated that Diaz was scared to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov, a claim both Diaz and Kogan vehemently deny to this day. According to Kogan, Diaz simply didn’t want to fight Khabib for the money he was being offered.

White criticized the former TUF 5 champion further when he claimed that Diaz wasn’t a needle mover, and if he never returned to the Octagon it would make no difference to him.

Apparently the feud has ended, at least temporarily, as both sides were able to agree upon the UFC on FOX 13 bout. In a recent interview with FightHubTV, however, Kogan explains that he and Diaz are still not happy with their contract, but are pleased with the fact they are fighting a top 3 opponent.
