Luke Rockhold: Jon Jones does not stand a chance against Cain Velasquez

For years, MMA fans have discussed potential “super fights”, and more often than not they included Anderson Silva, Jon Jones, Georges St-Pierre, and Cain Velasquez.

While nearly every super fight has failed to come to fruition, one potential superfight still hangs in the balance as current UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones could potentially make a move to Heavyweight in 2016.

If Jones were to beat Daniel Cormier at UFC 182, and then defeat the winner of Alexander Gustafsson vs Anthony Johnson, “Bones” would have essentially cleaned out the entire 205 pound weight class.

If Jones were to move up and fight Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, top Middleweight contender and Velasquez teammate Luke Rockhold believes Jones would have no chance at beating the champ.

Not a chance. Cain, just the storm that he can put on you, you can’t stop it. I’ve trained with the guy, I’ve sparred with him so many times, and when he wants to get after you, he’s going to get after you. You can only run away so long. Jon Jones doesn’t have the style to keep him off him. Cain is just a beast, he’ll bull his way right through him.
