Joe Lauzon injured, Conor McGregor offers to step in against Diego Sanchez at UFC 180

UFC 180 is falling apart right before our very eyes, and the UFC has some scrambling to do in order to save their first venture into Mexico.

UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez withdrew from his title defense against Fabricio Werdum earlier this week, and the UFC opted to put the interim title up for grabs with Mark Hunt stepping in on short notice.

Just one day later, news broke that UFC Lightweight Joe Lauzon would be forced off the card with an injury, and now Diego Sanchez is left without an opponent for next month’s pay-per-view.

In comes Irish sensation Conor McGregor, who is willing to step up a weight class on short notice to take on Sanchez at UFC 180:

Will the UFC take McGregor’s bait, or will they opt for a different opponent for Sanchez? Only time will tell.
