Injuries are an unfortunate part of the sport of MMA, but sometimes an injury replacement actually makes the fight even more anticipated than the initial match-up.
Case in point, TUF 1 winner Diego Sanchez was set to face off against Norman Parke at UFC 180 in a Lightweight tilt that was sure to bring fireworks. Unfortunately, Parke was injured and forced out of the bout, but the UFC did the fans one better by replacing the Irishman with fan-favorite bonus machine Joe Lauzon.
Ever since the announcement was made last week, fans have been giddy with excitement as UFC 180 nears. One fan took the liberty of creating some very intriguing posters by modifying famous movie posters with Lauzon and Sanchez’s face.
Diego himself got a chuckle out of them, and posted the fan art on his Twitter:

Hopefully the fan who created the posters gets some recognition. We sure wouldn’t mind seeing more of these in the future.
