“The Spider” is back, and it looks like he will be in the UFC for years to come. Anderson Silva, the former longtime Middleweight champion, signed a new 15 fight contract with the UFC today.

In an interview with Combate.com, Silva explained the new deal:

I had seven more fights on my contract (not including the UFC 183 fight Nick Diaz). I was with Lorenzo Fertitta and Dana White on Thursday, and the contract was torn. We signed a new one for 15 fights. To let Dana and fans in Brazil guys go crazy.

If Anderson does intend to fight out his contract, that likely means we will see arguably the greatest mixed martial artist of all time compete for another five years.
