With all the talk about a proposed May 2 bout between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao heating up with on going negotiations, the only thing that could hype up the anticipation more than a finalized contract would be for the two to meet in person. That’s just what took place Tuesday night in Miami, as the two pound-for-pound best boxers of the last decade finally met during halftime of the Miami Heat-Milwaukee Bucks game at American Airlines Arena.

After being shown on the half court scoreboard in a split-secreen during the game, Mayweather approached Pacquiao during the games intermission and the social media world blew up at the sight.

Mayweather and Pacquiao reportedly exchanged personal numbers, something that one would hope happened earlier in the fight talks, but it can only mean good things about the fight’s possibility going forward.

With Pacquiao setting a deadline for the end of January for Mayweather to agree, let’s hope this seemingly chance meeting ends up being the event that finally gives the world the fight they have longed to see.
