Although Cody Bollinger is still in contract with the World Series of Fighting, the former TUF 18 castmate was allowed to take a fight at a regional MMA event, leaving the cage with a brutal 13 second knockout.

It appears that Bollinger needed a fight sooner than WSOF was able to book him, so the promotion did the right thing in allowing him to earn his money elsewhere. Even with the extra dough, Bollinger still has to work a job as a construction worker during the week.

These types of stories truly highlight the fighter pay issue in MMA. At this point, it is very difficult to make a good living as an MMA fighter.
