Pacquiao vs. Algieri: Algieri looking ripped one week from Nov. 22 fight night

Algieri Ripped one week out FH

A major question on the boxing world’s mind is how Chris Algieri would handle all the lead up to his big HBO Pay-Per-View showdown with Manny Pacquiao at The Venetian Macao. If the 30-year-old’s physical appearance is any indicator, he is handing it quite well.

Algieri (20-0, 8 KOs) looks ripped in a video sent out by Top Rank Promotions, that depicts the Huntington, New York native in a workout less than a week away from the biggest fight in his boxing career.

Looking determined and focused, Algieri went through a series of exercises and displayed a chiseled body, that his masters in clinical science had to of played a role in.

With the physical appearance seemingly ready for a war with Pacman, the mental side is what everyone will be looking at next. If his numerous interviews and public appearances in the months leading up to fight week are any indicator, Algieri is just as ready mentally and he is physically for the Nov. 22 fight.

With just five days until fight night, the world will see if Algieri can pull off the big upset victory over Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38 KOs), in what the majority of sports books have penned as a 6-1 underdog.

He proved doubters (well most of them) wrong when he outpointed Ruslan Provodnikov in June, but besting Pacquiao in China, where his star is huge, will be another story.
