Deontay Wilder fights fan after 5,000 Facebook likes

Deontay Wilder Fan

American heavyweight hopeful, Deontay Wilder, is looked at as the biggest hope to revive the heavyweight division in the United States, so fighting a fan might not be the best thing to draw interest in his career.

After making a promise that if he accumulated 5,000 Facebook likes that he would fight a fan, Wilder showed he was a man of his word and did just that.

Wilder lived up to his promise, posting a video to YouTube of him knocking out a fan with one uppercut.

OK, don’t get too excited, the fan, in fact is not of the human variety, but yet the home variety, you know the kind that blows air..

The literal meaning was a great way to get fans to like his Facebook page, and saved him from damaging his career in the process by KOing an actual human fan.

Wilder will now turn his attention to WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne, who should put up much more of a fight than the stationary fan did, as the two budding stars are slated to fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in January according to ESPN.com’s Dan Rafael.
