Brandon Vera Predicts Strikeforce Grand Prix “My Money is on Overeem, he is on fire!”

This Saturday, Strikeforce will be descending upon Dallas, Texas to drop the second round of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix. In the first round we saw the man who at one point was seen as invincible, Fedor Emelianenko lose to Antonio “Big Foot” Silva in one of the biggest upsets of the year. Silva will now face the winner of this Saturday’s main event between Fabricio Werdum and Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem. On That same night we will see Josh Barnett take on Brett Rogers in what should turn out to be a fight that can end really quickly via KO or last out three rounds given Barnett’s technicality. The winner of that bout will face Sergei Kharitonov who defeated former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski on the same night Fedor suffered his second lost in his career.

We caught up with another former heavyweight and a man that actually fought Fabricio Werdum, UFC light heavyweight Brandon Vera and spoke to him about what he thinks of the tournament and who he is picking. Vera also lets us know whats been new with him and admits that there is a mental disconnect that has been affecting him as a fighter. Check it out as Vera pulls no punches and lets you in on the truth!
