It is the best vs. the best, undefeated vs. undefeated as Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Austin Trout go to battle this Saturday at The Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. It is a highly anticipated unification bout, one in which many thought would never happen. For the past year fans have been highly critical of Alvarez who, since claiming the WBC 154 lbs title has fought nothing but welterweights and no one in the top ten of his division.

That is about to change this Saturday, and the real question will be answered as to wether or not Alvarez is more hype than substance. The man in front of him is seen by many as the number one guy at junior middleweight and has seen his whole life change after the upset of Miguel Cotto last year in New York.

In a exclusive interview with Marcos Villegas, Trout talks about this life changing experience as well as his impeding showdown with Alvarez in which he makes it clear that if he follows his game plan, it can be a short night for the red headed superstar.
