Amir Khan vs. Devon Alexander: Full weigh-in video

Khan-Alexander face off weigh in FH 2014

As Saturday night’s Showtime televised card headlined by Amir Khan taking on Devon Alexander is just a day away, all the fighters on the quadruple header took the scales Friday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

All of the fighters, Jermall Charllo, Lenny Bottai, Abner Mares, Jose Ramirez, Keith Thurman, Leonard Bundo made weight for their respective bouts, leaving only the fighting in the ring left on the to do list.

Khan and Alexander are hoping to land a megafight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. with a win Saturday night, but of course, there is no guarantee, as Mayweather’s chooses whomever he wants to fight and if he wants to blow Khan or Alexander off, you better believe he will do so with no hesitation.

Charllo and Bottai, who’s fighting in the U.S. for the first time, will be slugging it out in a IBF junior middleweight eliminator bout, which will set the winner up for their first major title shot.

Mares is looking to get his name back into the title mix with a win over Ramirez, after a shocking Round 1 knockout loss to Jhonny Gonzales in August of last year. Mares returned to his winning ways in July defeating Johnathan Oquendo via unanimous decision and will look to add another win to his 27-1-1 record, with a possible Leo Santa Cruz title bout on the line.

Ramirez, who was knocked out by Vasyl Lomachenko in his professional debut,  will look to add the biggest win of his 29-fight career (25-4, 15 KOs).

Thurman is out to show he is as deserving as anyone to be mentioned in the biggest fights in the 147-pound division with a dominate showing against the undefeated 40-year-old Bundo. Thurman (23-0, 21 KOs) is shooting to outshine Khan, Alexander and Timothy Bradley, who fights on HBO at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Saturday night as well, to let boxing fans know he’s the more exciting fighter.

The elder Bundu has won several smaller titles, mostly European versions, in his career, but the Thurman fight represents his first shot at a major title in the WBA one, albeit the interim belt.

Catch all the action live on Showtime beginning at 9 p.m. EST/6 p.m. PST live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
