Can’t we all get along? Be it race, creed or whatever used to be between your legs (or what will one day be between your legs), we’re all human, so why can’t the human race treat each other with respect and dignity? Perhaps we are scared of what’s different, or maybe we just can’t articulate our thoughts in the proper fashion.
That’s the problem Matt Mitrione had after he called Fallon Fox “a freak” on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour, which led to his brief suspension that ended last night. Now Mitrione is scheduled to face Brendan Schaub at UFC on FOX 8, but first Jon Jones has a few words for him:
“I think he’s terrible for that,” Jones said. “It’s ridiculous. I think Fallon Fox, that’s a strong person. Despite what the person has been through in their life, that’s a strong person. I’m a fan of that person because of what they’ve gone through and what they’re willing to go through.
“People like Matt Mitrione are scumbags. He’s a scumbag. I don’t care if he’s off suspension or doesn’t fight again. He’s a ridiculous person.”
“He needs to shut his mouth,” Jones said. “That’s how I feel about that kid. He’s scum.”
Funny how 25-year-old Jon Jones is calling thirty-something Mitrione a “kid” but whatever. Maybe that fight can get made when Jones moves to heavyweight?
