Dan Hardy Shares his thoughts on Amir Khan, Ricky Hatton, British boxing legends Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn

Practically every athlete on the planet has sporting idols they looked up to growing up. MMA fighters are no different than basketball players in this respect and when Dan Hardy was asked this question recently it was apparently clear that at his core he shares a love for the sweet science. Growing up in England a young Hardy watched and idolized former middleweight and super middleweight champion Chris Eubank. Going by the moniker “simply the best” Eubank complied a record of 45-5 but he will always be remembered for his bout with Nigel Benn. Much like when you mention Manny Pacquiao you have to mention Juan Manuel Marquez, Benn and Eubank had a very competitive rivalry with their final showdown ending in a draw at Old Trafford Stadium.

Amir Khan and Ricky Hatton are two fighters that Hardy brought up in the conversation as well, calling Hatton an “all time great” in British boxing and stating that Khan with time will be right up there. See what else the UFC welterweight had to say in the video interview below.
