Cain Velasquez responded to Tyson Fury, and Fury won’t like what he said

All of these athletes need to stop calling each other out. There’s no point. You don’t see hockey players calling out soccer players, what is there to prove? Both subjects are great athletes but, as we see time and time again (outside James Toney), no one will cross over from MMA or boxing and actually fight each other. Besides, can Tyson Fury stop Cain’s double leg? Can anyone? Exactly. So when Tyson Fury tweeted “I challenge u to fight all in in a cage or ring! It could be billed as the man vs midget lets get it on!” most rolled their eyes and went on with their day, forgetting it ever happened. But it stuck around, now Cain has a response to Fury as told to ESPNChicago.com:

“I didn’t know who he was until this,” “I think he’s using my name to gain publicity, which he has done, everybody is bringing it up.”

“I’m not a boxer,” he said. “I’m a mixed martial artist, and if he wants to fight, he can go into the UFC and work his way up like everybody else does. Nothing is given to you in this world.

“To me, it’s like don’t talk about it, go ahead and do it. That’s all I have to say about that.”

Smart, Cain. But you should’ve at least reminded Tyson that it’s extremely difficult to knock someone out from your back.
