You know to some people the Zab Judah vs. Paulie Malignaggi fight does nothing for them. They see it as two guys on a losing streak, having no other opponents to fight choosing to fight each other to stay busy and relevant. If you are for the bout or against it, you have to admit that statement is true to a certain degree. The loser of the bout would have to seriously consider his career while the winner of the bout can’t really guarantee himself a major world title shot even with a spectacular performance.
With the fight being staged at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center it has given it local relevance as both Judah and Malignaggi have roots in the BK. Both fighters are in desperate need of a win and a win for both fighters would spice up that boxing Hall of Fame resume quiet nicely. If you have followed the careers of these two then the fight is of interest of you, not because of the style match up but because you have come to appreciate what both men have accomplished in the ring. Where is Zab Judah now at this point of his career? Can he build off his performance against Danny Garcia and look the same? Does Paulie Malignaggi want to continue as a fighter? Or does he just want to live the good life now as a Showtime commentator?
