Rogelio Medina knocks J’Leon Love out (w/video)

In a fight that was supposed to give J’Leon Love an easy win on national television, went south Saturday night as Rogelio Medina took matters into his own hands and knocked out the previously unbeaten fighter.

The fight was the main event of the TMT Promotions filled Shobox: The New Generation card at the Pearl inside the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. and as many of the other Mayweather stable stacked cards, one of his fighters with heavy attention on him lost.

Medina (33-6, 27 KOs) was a fighter who was 2-6 in his last eight bouts and was supposed to showcase Love (18-1, 10 KOs), who was going for his 19th win without a loss, but the damaging left hook dropped Love and he was unable to regain his composure stopping the bout just a little over 30 seconds into the third round.

The shocking loss ended what was a good night for Mayweather Promotions fighters, and ended the promotional companies first fully ran card on a sour note.
