Freddie Roach “Manny Pacquiao vs. Robert Guerrero would be a great fight”

We have a special treat for you as we went thru the vaults and found this little clip of a interview our very own Marcos Villegas did with hall of fame trainer Freddie Roach a few weeks back. The subject at hand has to deal with Robert Guerrero and Roach voices his opinion on his recent match with Andre Berto, the sparring sessions the two fighters would have and his thoughts if Guerrero would be matched up against Manny Pacquiao.

Roach surprisingly stated that he thought the Gilroy natives bout with Andre Berto was a “ugly fight” due to fouling and the he was surprised points were not taken away. He does believe though that of all possibilities for Manny Pacquiao, Robert Guerrero would probably give Pacquiao the most entertaining fight. Roach alludes that the sparring sessions between the two a few years ago was the stuff that forges myth and that it was some of the best sparring he has seen at the Wild Card. Though big questions surround the future of Manny Pacquiao and how he will be both mentally and physically after he knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez, a Guerrero match would be ones that fans would be pleased to see and one which we could see a vintage Pacquiao performance or on the same token the definitive emergence of Robert Guerrero.
