This whole week we weren’t sure if Diego Chaves would make it to his Aug 2nd fight with Brandon Rios. But mid Wednesday, Hankering Harry Reid flexed his GOP guns and boom! Chaves was granted a visa and we have a fight!
Even with a newly granted work visa, Chaves was too tired to show up to the final press conference in Las Vegas on Thursday. His camp representatives informed everyone in attendance that the Argentine had a long 15 hour flight and had a delightful day of medicals he needed to get done.
The show must go on and it did as Rios and undercard fighters Jessie Vargas, Anton Kovikob, Jose Ramirez and Jesse Magdaleno all spoke about this card on HBO.
