Ricky Hatton feels him and Amir Khan are similar as he talks what pisses him off most about boxing

No one has quite garnered the type of attention and fan following like one Ricky Hatton in his hey day. I remember watching the weigh-ins between Hatton and Floyd Mayweather Jr. and was seething in jealously of the people who were able to be there and in the arena the next night at The MGM Grand. It was a atmosphere unlike any other, one that I still do not think I have experienced myself. Though Hatton’s time has passed, he has passed on the torched to a series of other emerging UK stars, the most notable being Bolton’s own Amir Khan.

Hatton likens Khan to himself as he shares his thoughts on Khan most recent victory, “He looked fantastic! He boxed really well, his hand speed was blistering. The reason why the fans loved me was that I never took a backwards step and I think Amir is quiet similar really. He still has a bit of that red mist in front of him and that is why we love him.”

No we were all stoked but at the same time cautious when Ricky Hatton announced his comeback and understandably so, the last time we had seen Hatton was in his devastating KO loss to the hands of Manny Pacquiao. Hatton would find out the hard way that he can not compete at a elite level, as a Viacheslav Senchenko liver shot would end any world title aspirations. Hatton is at peace though telling our Fight Hub TV cameras that he knew from the third round on, he knew he did not have it in him to compete at a world class level.
