Paulie Malignaggi easily defeats Zab Judah via 12-round unanimous decision

judah vs malignaggi

After months spent to build up this bout as the fight for Brooklyn, in the end only Paulie Malignaggi showed up to fight in his bout with Zab Judah Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Malignaggi dominated the bout from the opening bell, utilizing his jab to keep Judah at bay the entire bout and besides a questionable knockdown being ruled in Round 2, Malignaggi wasn’t ever in trouble of losing the bout.

Judah looked uninspired for most of the contest and never really put together an attack that knocked Malignaggi off of his game plan.

After his slow start there still was anticipation that Judah could come back after his last outing with Danny Garcia saw him make a respectable late-fight comeback, only to fall short in the end. Tonight versus Malignaggi Judah didn’t reverse his fortunes and continued to dig his own grave all the way to the bell sounding to end Round 12.

After his close fight with Adrien Broner in June, Malignaggi will likely campaign to fight the winner of next week’s Broner-Marcos Maidana bout taking place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas next Saturday night.
