This Saturday night across the pond in Wales, WBO light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly will defend his title against the iron fists of Russian KO artist Sergey Kovalev. To the casual fan, the names of Cleverly and Kovalev might draw blank stares but to die hard fans this is a fight that could have a knockout ending.
Out of his 21 professional fights, Kovalev has knocked out 19 opponents and he is quickly becoming the Russian version of Lucas Matthysse. It is this very stat that entices fight fans not to miss Saturday night as Cleverly does get hit. With fight week underway, our cameras were on scene in Wales as Cleverly and Kovalev were on hand for their final press conference as the two talked about what we can expect come Saturday August 17th.
