Manny Pacquiao Calling Out Floyd Mayweather Again A Waste of Time

Manny Pacquiao took to the media to state the obvious: Floyd Mayweather will never fight Pacquiao¬ despite the public’s wish for the two fighters to meet over the past several years (via ESPN.Co.uk).

“I’ve stopped thinking about him because I don’t think he will fight me. I’ve been waiting four years already,” Pacquiao said.

Although you can trace both fighters back to being at fault at different times when fight negotiations took place, with Pacquiao losing two-straight fights and being laid out flat on his face in his last bout against Juan Manuel Marquez, Mayweather’s interest in the bout has understandably dropped.

Mayweather’s usual excuse is that Pacquiao didn’t agree to random drug testing leading up to a possible bout. Pacquiao’s usual reason for not facing Mayweather are strictly monetary ones, as the two have never met eye-to-eye on the way the money from a possible fight would be split between the two.

One of the biggest road blocks standing in the way of the super fight ever happening is the two rival promotional companies, Top Rank and Golden Boy, are at odds with each other more than they ever have been.

Sure the public, for the most part, has accepted that the fight will never happen, but when either of the fighters or their camps bring it up a little spark flares up again, getting chatter on the dream fight going again.

Even if both Mayeather and Pacquiao are victorious in their next bouts, against Saul Alvarez and Brandon Rios respectively, there is hardly a chance of the two ever facing each other despite the recent chatter.

Both Mayweather and Pacquiao should stop bringing each other up and pass any question pertaining to each other as it is nonsense. They should stop stringing the public along for a ride that is going nowhere.
