Kell Brook is still basking in the feeling of being a newly crowned champion as today he was given a hero’s welcome in Sheffield, England. Brook, for those of you who suffer from a horrible memory like I do, defeated former champion Shawn Porter last week on Showtime in Carson, CA. It was seen as a upset to fans here in America but if you could find a Brit somewhere or another here in the states they will tell you their man was no where close to being the underdog.
With hundreds of fans waiting to greet him today, the new IBF welterweight champion was all smiles today as his home city hosted a civic event for him in which he posed with fans and spoke to assembled media. Our cameras had a chance to speak to the new champ as he reflects on his win over Shawn Porter and what bigger fights may await him in the future.
