If your a San Antonionian consider yourself lucky. For the past few months you have been graced with some pretty awesome fights and on March 1st you going to see some unfinished business go down at the Alamodome. There is always something going down in big Tex though right? Anywho, in one corner we will see Texas native Brian Vera whom in September of last year dropped a very controversial decision to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Carson, CA.
Many at The Stub Hub center on that night felt Vera had won and when the cards were read fans feverishly booed Chavez Jr. Now Vera has his chance to repeat that same performance and score technically the fist biggest win of his career once again. Jr. on the other hand is in desperate need of a dominant winning performance if he hopes to draw in big names like Andre Ward and Sergio Martinez.
Today in San Antonio both fighters faced off as they kicked off their press conference to officially announce their date with destiny on March 1st on HBO.
