After starting out the fight in dominating fashion, Mauricio Herrera encountered a brawler in Johan Perez after Round 5, en route to a majority decision victory with scores of 116-112 (x2) and 114-114.
Herrera used his jab to control the first half of the bout and utilized an even body and head attack to battle back against a game Perez after he woke up after Round 5. Both fighters have never been down in their pro careers and if there ever was about that they could have went down it would have been this one.
